Super Magpie Families

When I used to live outside Canberra I would occasionally see big flocks of Magpies.  From memory the biggest was 150 birds. However, they wer always busy feeding.  I’ve not seen the mass fence- sitting described but Chris.

We occasionally get an aggregation of Magpies on farmland near our place on the Bellarine Peninsula.  There are probably 50 or so birds involved.  We also get mass flyovers from time to time with 20-30 Magpies involved.  Normal numbers are two family groups on and around our place.
