                 What is happening to coal Mining up there. ?  Despite all the many Miners, and presumably Koels. (Sorry).

White Cockies not welcome since chewing through two metres of Western Red Cedar cladding the house. Expensive.  Plenty of parrots including  a most engaging male King Parrot hopping around , chortling, flying in circles around a stoic female.

    Only small landbirds are Blue Wrens in the low scrub behind the beach, apart from occasional Barn  Swallows. No Swufts to date .

 

      Birds and bird calls everywhere. A  wonderful birding Spring.
