Hi Michael,

The only flock of Common Starlings I now see in City of Ryde north side of Parramatta River are at Morrison Bay and recently only 6 individuals. I put it down to lack of nesting opportunities with new residential construction locally and competition and aggression from the local Noisy Miners and Rainbow Lorikeets. The last ones in my street were in 2006. The Common Mynas are going the same way in my area.

Hi everyone,

Where have all the European Starlings gone. ? Once were thousands in Sydney,
none. seen for a few years around Penrith, Springwood or elsewhere. Zero.

? Disease, Have I missed something ?

Their absence not a regret , just a mystery.

                 TIA

          Michael
