Hi we have lived at current property at Clarence Town (Hunter Valley NSW) for 20 years and we have always had a resident pair of tawny frogmouths over that period. They invariably occupy 3-4 different roosts in the gum trees around our house within 20m of each other. They tend to stay in one tree for 2-3 months at a time and then change. It is great to see them with their young every year with 2-3 being the usual number. It is always very easy to find them visually or by their booming call around dusk.
