Steve,

A discussion is of course of value when and where anything that occurs creates 
an impact on birds ... and it is not necessarily climate change alone.

The hugely lower number of insects in and around Sydney is resulting in lower 
numbers of insect eating birds.   This is a topic for discussion — and the 
question is whether anything can be done to eliminate insecticides.

Overfishing - i remember every island off Cape Town with thousands of penguins 
— no more.

Etc etc
What irks me is the blanket climate change comments with zero action ability - 
almost like cleansing the conscience by advocating and blaming everything on it 
with no real action - in a World where so much can be done with correct 
attention and direction.
