Does he "need" to be in the city (i.e. is he visiting for work and needs to know sites close to the city) or is he flexible.

There would be options for the outer suburbs that might have better access to some of the bush, but it depends how much time and whether he is just keen to see some common urban species, or wants to wander more in the bush and see a few different things.
