Many thanks to those folk who responded to my RFI forwarded by Russell.

I’m staying in the Caravan Park at Adventure Bay and yesterday evening took a stroll around the woodland area at the NW end of the park where there are some tall White Gums.  I spotted a pardalote but from below at a distance and became very excited but realising that there are other pardalotes resident here as well, I was reluctant to call it.  I received the members helpful emails last evening and following Iain Blake’s supplied co-ordinates as a fixed point reference head off down Queen Elizabeth track this morning full of anticipation.  As fate would have it, some distance before reaching those co-ordinates, and almost exactly where Judy Christie predicted they would be, there they were!  I say ‘they’ because there were several -- many more than I thought possible.  At one stage, I had three in my field and at a distance of about 4m. At the same time others were calling behind me.  I stress I am not a twitcher but I think I might have given a little twitch then. And Judy, the recording of the call was extremely helpful.  Fifty meters along the track I saw even more.

Then, this afternoon, I took my wife for a drive to Dennes Point and pulled off the gravel road next to a quarry as there was a large E. viminalis directly in front of us.  Again, several 40 PDs in that tree!

That’s all 12 endemics for me.  I just hope the More Pork is left off the Tas.endemics list for some time yet. I haven’t heard any boobooks at all but the young lady at Inala tells me they hear them ‘all the time’.
