It’s a while since I spent significant time at Anglesea but I observed many interesting species there and in the neighbouring region over many Christmas holidays. Off the top of my head, species included Southern Emu Wren, Blue-winged Parrot, thornbills, honeyeaters, Gang Gang Cockatoo, the usual range of seabirds, Latham’s Snipe (Aireys Inlet), Red-browed Finch, Rufous Bristlebird (Aireys Inlet), waterfowl and many others.
There is a quite a range of habitats and some reasonable walking tracks that give good access. A drive to the Otways would be worthwhile too.
Cheers

I’m spending a couple of weeks at Anglesea Vic. over the Christmas period and was wondering if there was any birds of interest about at the moment ? I’m coming down from Qld. tomorrow and was wondering is there anyone who could point me in the right direction ? I have organized a trip to the Treatment Plant.
