Silvereyes

Over the past few weeks on the NSW south coast, Ulladulla, for the first 
time I can remember we have had small to large flocks of Silvereyes that 
are foraging everywhere, in bushes, on the grass, on the beach, under 
salt marsh samphire, along fences etc. There were the Tassy forms at 
first and now the eastern form, so I am wondering if the dry inland 
conditions have pushed them onto the coast where food is also a bit 
short and takes a lot more effort to find.
Also heard the first Koel for the summer yesterday, a few weeks after 
the Channel-billed Cuckoos arrived.
