A query from a birding friend. Anyone able to help please?
Quote:
Steph and I returned from a trip into Queensland a very short while ago and I
came back perplexed about a bird (two actually - some kilometers apart) near
Longreach. I thought I had found a new species until I recognised the pattern
to exactly match that of the Red-capped robin. The problem with both birds is
that they were distinctly orange, not sort of, really orange. Like day glow
orange. Are you familiar with a sub-species or local population with that
variation?
