Hi all
Just letting you know that the Spotted Scrubwren goes way into South Australia,
to the Gulf of St. Vincent, and occurs in habitat around Adelaide on the coast.
It get very close to White-browed here, which occurs in the hills around
Adelaide. There is not much separation between the two taxa in terms of
distance. Another good reason for some splitting. Interesting that the Kangaroo
Island bird genetically falls closer to the White-browed Scrubwren than it does
to Spotted.
