Hi Lawrie,
                        Thanks for the kind words. Terje Nergård lives in 
Harstad, some 250 km south of Tromsø, but most of his pictures here are from 
Svalbard, 77-80*N, in the High Arctic (My elder daughter lives there, in 
Longyearbyen). The exceptions are the pictures, often of the Northern lights, 
with trees in the foreground; they must have been taken  around Harstad 
somewhere, but could also have been taken around Tromsø.
Tromsø just now has very snowy days, and several villages around the town are 
isolated because of avalanches. The only signs of spring, besides the daily 
longer days, are the Long Calls of the Herring Gulls, and the rasps of the 
Greenfinches. Still some Waxwings around, but it is a week since I saw the last 
Fieldfare.
