Hi Julie
I’m sure some (NSW) Central Coast birders can add to this, but in my
experience, the RTA Reserve at Ourimbah is a good spot for Regents – I reckon a
4 out of 5 visits success ratio. I’ve also seen them at the RTA rest area at
Ourimbah Interchange off the Pacific Motorway.
No accounting for habitat issues in between of course, but Tumbi Umbi to
Ourimbah is less than 10kms in a straight line.

Here is a snip from the eBird range map for Regent Bowerbird.
As you can see there are quite a few records just North of Gosford.
Possibly this is influenced by the number of birders in the area.
