Yesterday and today, January 3 and 4, two GREENFINCHES  singing/ calling, from 
Willow and Monterey pines.  First sighting for at least ten years.

Also a locally unusual WHISTLING KITE gliding overhead today, much to the 
consternation of a single YTBlack Cockatoo feeding in a row of pines, which 
flew out screaming.
