And Julie, all your observations would be welcome and valuable to Birdlife and
the "Atlas of Australian" Birds database.
Become an Atlas contributor and take part in a very significant exercise in
"citizen science" where all records from all locations contribute.
Knowing where Freckled Ducks may be found, where they are in any given month
and with what numbers and frequency can only be known from the contribution of
hundreds of keen field observers.
Take a look at the Birdlife website if you are interested in joining in.
Forgive my "pitch" if you are already there!

Hi Julie
interesting perspective – the moderators would, at the most basic, simply not
publish the report and nobody would know. If they have time, you may even get
some useful correspondence back. What I have never found is that the
moderators are dismissive or come across as all superior.
They do a great job imho and appreciate that not everybody is an expert – all
birders start with a life list of 0 after all.
Cheers
Tom Wilson

Thank you for the information. I am glad I didn’t embarrass myself by sending
the report to Birdline.
