“Sydney & Central Tablelands Birdwatching Tours” operates bird watching day
trips, weekends and night tours for anyone interested in exploring the
birding paradise that is the Central Tablelands of New South Wales,
Australia.
We also offer a extensive range of birding trips across Sydney.
Trips are custom tailored to the clients desires and may include visits to
the Capertee Valley, Sydney and a selection of the Central Tableland’s
birding secrets. Each tour will be tailored to the individual/group and
will be structured around what birds species the attendees most desire to
see.
It is is not unusual to see 120 - 150 bird species in one weekend in the
Central Tablelands. Local specialties of the region include: Regent
Honeyeater, Rockwarbler, Painted Honeyeater, Diamond Firetail, Turquoise
Parrot, Gang Gang Cockatoo, Speckled Warbler, Southern Whiteface,
Plum-headed Finch, Hooded Robin, Red-capped Robin, Red-browed Treecreeper,
Brown Treecreeper, Glossy Black Cockatoo, Powerful Owl, Superb Lyrebird and
many more.
Tours typically leave on Saturday morning and can conclude the same day or
extend to Sunday evening.
Specialty nocturnal tours can be arranged in order to target the amazing
Powerful Owl, the largest owl species in Australia, among other southern
nocturnal specialties.
If you have ever wanted to experience the amazing Capertee Valley and try
your luck at seeing one of the last wild Regent Honeyeaters in existence,
then you should consider attending a weekend tour with an experienced local
bird guide and ornithologist.
