Hi Bill
even the smaller flocks of woodswallows that were around Sydney a few weeks
back seemed to be mixed – predominantly White-broweds but a smattering of
Maskeds. In the two flocks I saw where I could do any sort of an estimate, I
reckon the ratio was about 1 Masked for 8 White-broweds. I think those 2
species quite commonly co-mingle.
Cheers

Yesterday I was at Ladys Pass (note lack of apostrophe) north of Heathcote
in Victoria. I'd noticed some high flying Woodswallows earlier in the day,
but on the way home I passed a flock of about 25 on or near the ground. All
the ones I got a decent look at were White-browed, but I can't guarantee it
wasn't a mixed flock.
