Hi all,
Just a note on that Oriental Pratincole, which was first seen at Hexham Swamp
on Tuesday (21st). The bird apparently took flight at around 0830 on Saturday
morning and 'flew north'. To my knowledge it has not been seen since. In the
interim we've had a bit of rain here and the areas where the bird was
frequenting are now underwater (it took a heatwave to finally get Hexham back
in form, then it rains....damn it!). I was out there this morning and I think
it will be hard work to relocate the bird (but I hope I'm proven wrong!).
