3.04-3.11 pmAEST today 500m SEQ (you have my lat-long, Mike) <30 swifts, at first widely spaced & low. Moving slowly. With adjustment of the bins, they could be seen out to about 2sqKms. They swirled & drifted, gradually rising & compacting, until abruptly they all flowed away together. High cloud, onshore gusting. Monsoon line only appeared across FNQ last week; first real rain this season began then (late again). Cool blustery weather since. 12noonAEST map here- http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDY00050.pdf & latest BOM wind gradients, at 04.58 AEST, here- http://www.bom.gov.au/australia/charts/glw_00z.shtml All speed to them!
