Dear all 50 plus needletails circling at head height and as high as one could see at 12.30pm today on Callagans Creek Road 31 50 32 : 152 03 89. This is somewhere between Gloucester and Mount George, NSW. They swished past a meter above the ground so close you could hear the wind in their feathers, and kept circling high and low over paddocks on a patch of higher ground above the general level, in a loose busily foraging flock. Great sight and my second this season.
