Really enjoyed Bernie O'Keefe's well written North Queensland Bird Trip
September 2016. It was a pity Bernie and Scott didn't see the Black-naped
Tern colony on the other side of Michaelmas Cay.

Natalie and I spent the day at Michaelmas Cay aboard the 'Seastar' in
December 2014. A crewman 'interested in birds' asked who else was
interested in birds and took about 5 of us out in the small boat to
circumnavigate the cay and identify all the birds we saw, including
immature boobies.

It would be worth while for anyone going out on this great trip to ask the
various operators if they look after birders on board and take them out in
the small boat whilst the others are snorkelling.
