Michael,
Forgot to mention: we hired from Hertz in Darwin.
We originally intended to fly into Broome and hire from there, but
discovered that flights into Darwin and car hire from Darwin were
significantly cheaper than Broome: we saved over $2K on flights and $1K on
the car by going via Darwin. Longer drive to get into the Kimberly, but
worth it for us: we just did a long day driving from Darwin to Kununurra on
the way in and the same on the way back.

Subject: Mitchell River NP access
Hello
Could someone please tell me whether a 4WD is absolutely essential to
getting to the black grasswren site/s in the Mitchell River National Park,
Western Australia? And, if so, do they know of any good vehicle hire
companies around Broome or even Derby?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,Mike
