from what I can see the following changes have been made to the Australian list new species name Black-eared Catbird - (Latin names unchanged for genus, species and subspecies) - range Cape York Pen Changes in Latin names Spotted Catbird - A maculosus Intermediate Egret - Ardea intermedia Sub-species added Yellow-tufted Honeyeater - L m gippslandicus (central and east Gippsland) Mangrove Golden Whistler P m violetae (northern Australia - a bit confusing as robusta is also listed as northern Australia - will have to look Mathews 1912 when I get time) Sub-species deleted Noisy Miner - lepidota lumped with nom subspecies Australian Magpie - terraereginae lumped with nom subspecies <HR> <BR> Birding-Aus mailing list <BR> <BR> To change settings or unsubscribe visit: <BR> http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org </HR> |
