Hi all
First up, many thanks to those who responded to my February RFI re Bangkok for
a short trip in March. The March trip had to be postponed (so I just tucked
that information away) and is now scheduled to occur in mid-May. Timing of
this trip and some other commitments now mean I will have at least one free day
in Bangkok – possibly two – before going to Singapore. So, I’d be grateful for
any recommendations for:
- sites that are easy to get to from the CBD for a day’s (morning’s) birding;
and/or
- a guide that may be helpful for a day or two.
I’ve been looking at Nick Upton’s “Thai Birding” website and will be in touch
with him directly.
As in February, my hotel is on Phayathai Rd just north of the waterway that
borders the Sra Prathum Palace. I have picked out Lumphini (or Lumpini) Park
looks to be the nearest green space of any size if I can sneak out before work.
Cheers
Tom Wilson
