We are in WA visiting from Victoria. Having read Barney Enders' story about Wally and his Carnaby's in Moora, we went up there to meet him. He's an eccentric but extremely knowledgeable man and it was an experience chatting with him. He said he had had an 80% breeding success this year from his tree log nests. He only feeds during their breeding season but this of course puts him at odds with environmental officials. The Carnaby group up there rely on donations to look after the Carnaby's.
