Hi Tom,

Roger Davis operates from his place of residence, a unit in Bankstown.
There is no "shop" as such and he could well be available on a Saturday. He
used to run a store in Melbourne which became part of Bintel. Phone 0425 709
508.

Regards
Roger Giller

Hi all
Over the holiday period I managed to get sand on/in my scope's eyepiece
after it tipped over at Stockton sandspit (the sand I put the tripod on was
not as firm as it looked). The place I bought the scope from (Astro Optical
in Artarmon) is no longer in business. Apart from BinTel in Glebe, any
Sydney north shore based suppliers that anybody would recommend? (The scope
is a Bauer 80A and is about 12 years old. I'm not in the market for a new
scope yet as I'm trying to save up to replace my battered old Canon 450D.)
A similar note on Facebook has generated a recommendation for Rogers optics
and Restoration at Bankstown, which is still a bit of a hike from my North
Turramurra base and does not appear to be open on Saturday.
Cheers
Tom Wilson

PS - In light of the recent status of BA thread, I was always going to post
here and on Facebook...
