Yep, we have found all kinds of things. Fur, feathers and bones. Loads of
beetle carapaces. Orange peel and cherry stones (in scats from the northern
end of Hattah, probably 5 km from the nearest orchard). One I remember at
Bronzewing had baby echidna quills, which I perversely hoped had been
pointing the wrong way when the bastard fox backed that one out.
Scats collected by the Victorian Malleefowl Recovery Group have been
analysed by Barbara Trigg and have found the presence of a number of rare
species that were thought to be absent from the areas collected.

Looks like Fox to me.. I have found Fox scats coloured black by eating
blackberries, or full of plum or cherry stones.
When we were at Mt. Hotham, one Easter, we were told that Fox scats always
contain grass-hopper and beetle wings, but these are never found in Dingo or
feral Dog scats.
