Location: The Barrage Goolwa

Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres) (1) Single bird feeding on a receding tide 
along with Sharp-tailed Sandpiper second pull in behind the Barrage. Uncommon 
in this location.

European Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris) (1) One female - photo attached

Little Pied Cormorant (Phalacrocorax melanoleucos) (1) One only with 
discoloured head - photo attached

Great Egret (Casmerodius albus) (1) Showing off its long neck - photo attached

Crested Shrike-tit (Falcunculus frontatus) (2) Male and Female birds were 
foraging in a Australian Blue Gum for Lerps.

Grey Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica) (1) Very obliging - photo attached

Silver Gull (Larus novaehollandiae) (1) With nagging child - photo attached

Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus axillaris) (1) From a distance - photo attached

Great Egret (Casmerodius albus) (1) Always look good to me - photo attached

Date: Wednesday, November 4, 2015

Location: Lower Glenelg NP

Lewin's Rail (Lewinia pectoralis) (1) Heard calling on successive nights from 
the reeds/bracken at Battersby's camp site. Not sighted (despite strenuous 
efforts!). Appeared to be moving along the bank from the walker's camp to the 
car camp and back.
