Don't know about leucistic Magpies but we had at least 3 Melanistic maggies
here in WA a few years ago that seemed to represent at least two generations.

Subject: Leucistic Magpies
A friend has just sent me some photos of a leucistic Australian Magpie that
he saw about 3 weeks ago. What makes it even more unusual is that it was one
of two that were together.
"There were two of them feeding on the side of the road & as I approached
them I thought they must have been feral pigeons. As I passed them I
realised that they weren't, so I turned around & went back. One flew off
followed by a standard magpie & the other one hung around."
I can only assume that the two were hatched from the same clutch . Has this
been recorded before?
Date was Oct 17. Location 2.5 to 3 km from Nundle on the Hanging Rock
road. -31.4729, 151.1551
