Re deer in Western Sydney Mulgoa Valley has healthy populations of both Fallow and Red Deer, has had for decades. Some may have been escapees from “Fernhill” which had captive deer, and there have been deer farms in the area over the years. There are also wild goats and pigs closer to the Nepean River, not to mention feral cats.
