Yes, James, we were keeping an ear out for a Western Whipbird.

Many years ago, Dean made a recording of an unknown bird call in the
Big Desert, that may or may not have been one. A number of experts
listened to the call but opinions differed on what it was, the front
runner being a Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater.

Needless to say, we didn't hear anything like it this time - we would
have been unreasonably excited if we had!
