My wife and I have just returned from 3 weeks birding between Darwin and Wyndham. We saw a number of Purple crowned Fairy wrens at the Victoria river boat ramp site. Checking our photos we noticed that a male bird had a red band above a black band on the right leg and a yellow band on the left leg. Our research indicates some banding was done about 2006 but I am interested to know if anyone is still monitoring this site and if so who may be interested in this information.
