Hi all I had 2 Wedge-tailed Eagles very low over my house (Bobbin Head Rd, North Turramurra - about 3kms from the Ku-Rin-Gai Nat Park gates) approx. 2:45pm this afternoon. Both were darker birds. While I have seen eagles sporadically in the 17 years I have lived in the Turramurra area, this is my 6th sighting this year. I was wondering if a pair had established a new territory in the south of the park or an existing pair has expanded their home range? Whatever the reason, their presence is certainly not popular with the locals - Ravens, Magpies and Masked Lapwings all having a go at them as they cruised past.
