Airshow this weekend - Avalon, Victoria

A reminder to everyone considering birding at the Western Treatment Plant
and surrounding areas this weekend - the Airshow is on at Avalon from Friday
through Sunday. There will be lots of very loud aeroplanes that are likely
to put the birds up. In addition, the traffic along the Geelong Freeway from
both Melbourne and Geelong to Avalon will be horrendous. The Point Wilson
exit from the freeway (the one that most people visiting the Western
Treatment Plant use) is designated as the main exit for the general public
heading to and from the Airshow car parking, so will be absolutely
nose-to-tail traffic jam.
