Well that was an interesting day. Drove 200km to the above beach to look for the plovers as reported on Birdpedia and found the place We drove several km up and down the beach but had no luck. We also didn't find the reef they had been on, neither did we see any rocks at all, just sand and seaweed. The tide was way out so any reef should have shown. Had a nice drive though.
