Hi all, Heather Thorning photographed a Gallinago sp. Snipe at Bibra Lake this morning, just north of the new bird hide in the NE of the lake (seen from the hide I believe). Several people failed to see it during the day, but Plaxy Barratt, Dan Mantle and Paul Newman have reported it showing again this arvo around 6.15pm, though I get the impression views were relatively distant. Obviously this group is a challenge to ID in the field, but any Gallinago is unusual in the south-west Cheers, John

Birding-Aus mailing list

To change settings or unsubscribe visit:
http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
|
