Hi All
An extremely successful spotlighting outing with Alan Gillanders around
Atherton tonight (Jan 22) allowed excellent photo opportunities for both the
Eastern Grass Owl and Lesser Sooty Owl. A huge thank you to Alan for getting us
so close to these birds. The LSO was less than 10 metres up a tree calling and
the EGO even closer on the ground! A great outcome for a 3 hour tour with both
targets achieved! I highly recommend a night tour with Alan.
If anyone would like photos, I am happy to supply but will not be back in
Melbourne until Sunday.
