Hi Mike First Fork-tails of the season over Caravonica (northern suburb of Cairns) with over 4000 appearing over house and along edge of Kuranda range. First appeared at about 1000 and were present all day only vanishing during rain storm - small groups still around at dusk 1845 ish Mixed in were a handful of Needletails prob no more than ten but was very hard to judge. Also two Little Swifts seen once at approx 1100 but there were so many swifts moving that it was impossible to keep track!
