Hi everyone, Carla and I found a White-rumped Sandpiper roosting at high tide with Red-necked Stints on the foredune at the old rivermouth, Shoalhaven Heads, this morning. Best access is from the parking area at the east end of River Road. The sandpiper appeared slightly larger than the stints, was browner, had some flank streaking, long primary projection and dark legs. We didn't flush it to check rump colour. See Birdline NSW for a pic and more info. Little Terns have started laying eggs near to where the stints were roosting, so be mindful of not crushing eggs.
