I'm with you both there.... But just as long as an equal amount of
effort spent chasing ticks is spent on saving native birds, I don't
mind and say - go for it! I know lots of serious tickers are also
   dedicated conservationists.

Carl, I used to wonder where the phrase "Get a life!" came from, I
   think I
   now know,
How can anyone be interested in chasing these aerial cane-toads.....

   Martin,
I agree. I have seen them throughout Asia and regard them as the avian
equivalent of the Spotted Hyena and should be exterminated ASAP.
Having said that, I expect to get flamed like last time.

What sized guns did people have? This bird needs to be shot or
   otherwise
exterminated asap - from my observations in Tanzania, House Crows were
invented to make Common Mynas look desirable.

   Hi all,
House Crow was photographed this morning by a random non-birder who
thankfully posted on VicBirders Facebook page asking whether this was a
   Pied Currawong.
I think there's a hoard of melb birders down at the moment. Both Tim
Bawden and I have seen the bird a few times in flight. It seems to be
associating with some Little Ravens. I chased bird down Park Street
   opposite shrine.
   Good luck to all!
