Hello Richard

Please apologize, that I didn?t answer your mail till now. It got stuck with
the spam and I didn?t see it till today.

Thanks a lot for the information. It is very helpful to know where I can go
by myself. I am sure I can see new birds in the parks. I ordered a field
guide and hope it will be here before I leave.

It would be very nice to put my request on the chatline. I will stay in
Newport. There is public transport close by, but if I could go birding with
somebody who is picking me up, it would be great.

I did write to the guides I found in Internet and maybe I can do a daytrip
with Simon Starr. Unfortunately all the mails from Australia didn?t reach me
and it took very long until I found out why!

Thanks a lot for your help

Kind regards

Dorothee

Hello Dorothee. Very nice to hear from you (in your very impressive third,
fourth or fifth language!).

I would have been pleased to show you around, but unfortunately I will be
far away in Western Australia while you are here in Melbourne.

If you would like me to I can put your request on our national birding
chatline (Birding-Aus) to see if anyone might be able to help you during
those dates. Let me know if you would like me to do that.

I?m sorry I won?t be able to assist you myself. Enjoy your visit. Best
wishes. Richard

PS I?ve attached a little information that you may find interesting/helpful.

Good morning

I found your address on the page www.ausbird.com as I was looking for
birdingtours. I am a birder from Switzerland and will stay a few days in
Melbourne (30. December to 5. January). Because I am not used to drive on
the left side, I am looking for other people to join. All birds of Australia
are new to me and I have now special wish what to see. If you have plans and
I could join you, I would be very happy.

I am 63 years old and I am on my way to New Zealand to visit my daughter and
my grandchildren.

My English is not very good, but I like to be outside and enjoy nature.

I hope to hear from you

Kind regards
