Hi Everyone,

This YouTube video produced in November 2012, by Save Our Spit, shows Our
Beautiful Broadwater.

It is still relevant November 2014, only now it is proposed to treble the
size of Wavebreak Island with casinos, 50 storey high-rise, apartment
buildings and a cruise terminal.

Today I recorded Eastern Curlew, Pied Oystercatchers, a Beach Stone-curlew
and Whimbrel feeding at low tide on the Wavebreak Island sandbanks.

Many more were feeding to the south of Wavebreak on Curlew Island.

The Mayor of the Gold Coast has said "... all this bit so that where's the
birds gonna, gonna land, well if it wasn't for man, the birds wouldn't be
there"

Thanks,

Judy
