Shepparton (Vic) birding

Hi all

I'm being sent to Shepparton for a couple of days (probably the 24th and
25th of November).  I'm going to be working at a couple of electorate
offices for the Parliament, but I'm hoping that I might be able to sneak
off either in the evening or maybe early in the morning.

Can anyone let me know of a good birding spot, relatively close by, that I
can access in, say, less than 30 minutes?  I'm hoping I'll have a car
available to me.
