Where are the Aussie Painted Snipes this year?

We heard of a pair of snipe flushed in the eastern Macquarie Marshes a few 
weeks back - I don't think the ID was solid enough to report as A. Painted, but 
they certainly sounded like it.

Plenty of Latham's seen so far this Spring!

Some El Nino, eh?  Too wet on the east coast for the usual Painted Snipe traps 
(thanks for Hunter updates Mick R). Has anyone, ANYWHERE seen the little Aussie 
secret nomads this Spring?
