Stephen,
Thanks for your information and reasoned response. I would have had to look most of that up (and was planning to do so in response to some of the stuff posted to this forum). It is a long time since I read about it.

I still think that Eutheria is a bit of a reach, even for an arrogant species which is declared to be very wise; eu- meaning good, right, true and proper.
