Eastern Reef Egret (dark morph)
Onslow Beach, Onslow
Watched this guy fishing for well over an hour. The beach here is overlooked. Great numbers of Bar-tailed Godwit, Lesser Sand-Plover, stints and Red-capped Plover; also good numbers of Caspian and Gull-billed Tern.

Lemon-bellied Flycatcher
Derby Wharf
Kimberley Flycatcher. ssp. tormenti. Searched general region extensively for this bird without result. Tried mangroves around wharf and used playback. No luck. Gave up and called White-breasted Whistler. Within moments 3 Flycatchers arrived. Many shots taken to establish accuracy of identification and photographs of diagnostic tail spots available.

Single bird sitting in a tree watching over the lake; Haven't seen one in this area before.

Carnaby's Black- Cockatoo
Baldavis Road, near Rockingham Regional Memorial Park
A flock of around 30 birds seen flying fairly low over the paddock next to the road. No photo (I was driving)
