Black-backed Bittern
McKellar Wetlands
Male bittern was observed this morning at the wetlands after a two hour wait. Initially observed in flight and then great views in a reed bed.

Great Crested Grebe
Lake Burley Griffin, East Basin
Three Great Crested Grebe were seen in the vicinity of entrance to Jerrabomberra Creek at 0900 before they were flushed by a canoeist. Birds then flew to the western side of the basin, providing an opportunity to observe them in flight.
Observed by Scott Ryan at 1130 and Milburn in the late afternoon.

Euree Street, Reid
A single adult Olive-backed Oriole was present in Euree Street in the oaks (Quercus luscitanicus) bordering Reid Oval at around 10:00 this morning.

Weston Creek Ponds
66 Pink-eared Ducks on the ponds. Also at least 3 Black-fronted Plovers on margins of ponds. 70+ Red-rumped Parrots flew off as i passed

Miller Street O'Connor
At 11:52 a White-headed Pigeon flew over Miller Street from Turner.
