Sun 15 Jun Yellow Chat Cheetham Salt Works, Port Alma Road
Two pair at the same site as reported earlier - near Bajool Gate No. 1 -about 3pm - long sustained views as they slowly foraged around - initially on north side of road (beside the fence) - flew over to south side and continued feeding through the patches of low saltbush.

The Nightjar still showing really well this morning. Preening and yawning lots early on. A Varied Triller also present.

Small active group of mixed adult & juvenile birds in tall grass around edged of wetland beside large round-about Landsborough hwy western edge Longreach

Single juv. bird feeding on grass seeds on western edge of wetlands, adjacent to construction site.

Thu 12 Jun Painted Button-Quail, Yellow Thornbill, Fuscous Honeyeater, Speckled Warbler Haigslea Cemetery/Raysource Rd
Plenty of interesting sightings along Raysource and Kamp Road. A fantastic woodland location!

White-throated Nightjar still in same roosting tree as previously reported. Also a Noisy Pitta south eastern corner of the board walk in to the left in the mangroves. Photo taken.

Sun 8 Jun Turquoise Parrots, Diamond Firetails, Chestnut-rumped Heathwren, Southern Whiteface Girraween National Park
Girraween was very 'birdy' yesterday. 3 Turquoise Parrots, 4 Diamond Firetails, 1 Chestnut-rumped Heathwren, 1 Southern Whiteface were the highlights. Lots of Honeyeaters, Scarlet Robins etc.

Seen at the end of Walkabout Creek. Between end and up to the Bike Track following the dry creek bed.
