Hi folks

I have a question about raven behaviour: for three days there has been a large
group of Forest Ravens down the bottom of my block (in South Hobart, adjacent
to the Mt Wellington park), perched in the tops of a few trees, with ravens
leaving and arriving regularly. The have been calling all day, from early in
the morning until mid afternoon, sometimes dusk. At one point they all
scattered and a fast white bird shot through the trees, chased by some ravens
(likely a Grey Goshawk, white morph in Tas, which does occur hereabouts), then
they settled down again. Over the last few days they have slowly dispersed.

Does anyone know what they were doing and why they gathered? Do ravens migrate?
Were they having a three-day conference to discuss the weather or the eclipse?
Cheers
Mona
