G'day Stephan

Yes, the Birdsville track should be driveable in June, in the absence of significant rain. The Birdsville Track is a good outback road that most reliable cars can traverse in the middle of the year.

Big Red (sand dune) just out from Birdsville is a good spot for Eyrean Grasswrens. (you look and listen for them in the cane grass on the dunes).

Regards, Laurie.

Just two quick questions, will the Birdsville Track likely be drivable middle of June this year with a midsized SUV no 4WD (Mitsubishi ASX) and are there good spots for Grey and Eyrean Grasswrens that are publicly accessible. Detailed info on grasswren sites and strategy will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Stephan Lorenz visiting from Texas
